About the LLL - Introduction

The Lutheran Laypeople's League of Australia Inc.

  • Established in 1921 to support the LCA in its mission of sharing the Gospel message, by helping in matters of finance and administration

  • Operates deposit accounts into which members and supporters of Lutheran organisations are encouraged to deposit monies, on call at 4.75% p.a. Currently there are over 40,000 depositors with over $400,000,000 in LLL deposit accounts

  • Operates a loan facility at low interest to approved projects for building and equipping churches, manses, schools, welfare centres, aged care facilities etc. within the LCA

  • Operates four Tax Deductible Funds for education and welfare projects

  • Operates capital funds (Permanent Funds) to help specific ministries of the LCA

  • Administers various funds for the LCA, including
    • LCA Insurance Fund (Insurance program for LCA organisations)
    • Lutheran Tract Mission (production and distribution of Christian literature)
    • Central Treasury Service (treasury work for the LCA and South Australian District of the LCA)

  • Operates an Online Donations internet facility for the LCA through which supporters can make credit card donations and/or payments to LCA entities registered on the site

  • Provides services in many other administrative, financial and fund raising tasks, as and when requested by the LCA.
