All accounts are ‘at call’
All LLL Deposit Accounts are "at call" accounts that require no minimum deposit or balance.
Passbooks
Passbooks are issued for all LLL Deposit Accounts, except those with internet access.
Account types
The LLL offers a number of account types to suit different needs.
Internet access
LLL Depositors can access their accounts via the internet through LLL@Home.
Deposits
Deposits can be made in person at our office, by Reply Paid mail, electronic transfer (including internet banking) using our BSB 704942, through most Lutheran Schools, and through major Banks (conditions apply).
Withdrawals
Withdrawals may be made in person, via the internet (LLL@Home), or by Reply Paid mail. You may request a cheque made out to a nominated payee, or an electronic transfer to a Bank account.
Regular automatic payments
Periodical Payment & Direct Debit facilities are available
No fees or charges
There are no account keeping fees or charges on LLL accounts.
Interest rate
All accounts earn 4.75% per annum interest, calculated on daily balances and credited annually on May 31st (Depositors may choose a lower interest rate - see Interest Free).
Matching Deposits/Interest free
By depositing your money with the LLL you are supporting the mission of the Lutheran Church. You can directly support a project within the Lutheran Church by electing for your account to be a Matching Deposit account and/or you may also elect to have all or part of your account Interest-Free to further benefit project/s.
Secure Funds
All cash reserves are invested in gilt-edged securities. Loans are advanced to approved LCA projects only, at an interest rate of 5% per annum. The Lutheran Church of Australia guarantees repayment of all loans and indemnifies against loss in the event of default by the borrower.
Support for Mission
LLL deposit accounts provide support for low interest loans to LCA approved projects. By accepting the attractive LLL interest rate, depositors are making a significant contribution to the mission of the LCA.
