What are LLL Permanent Funds?
LLL Permanent Funds comprise various capital funds accumulated as a result of gifts generously donated to the LLL and allocations made by the LLL Board. These funds are always lent - never spent.
Money from these funds is lent to various LCA organisations (eg Churches, Schools, Rest Homes etc) which need funding for development. Income from these loans is then allocated to specific ministries of the LCA. As these loans are repaid, the capital is lent again for new projects.
When money is donated to LLL Permanent Funds, either direct or through an LLL interest free deposit, or a legacy left to LLL Permanent Funds, it is guaranteed that it will always be used to support the mission of the LCA: Always lent - never spent.

General Donations
These are donations made to the LLL in thanks to God. This may be as a result of a special event such as the birth of a child, a birthday, an anniversary, a reunion etc.
In Memoriam Donations
In place of giving flowers at a funeral, an In Memoriam Donation is a way of showing permanent love and respect for someone who touched your heart.
LLL Home Mission Establishment Fund
Capital from this Fund is loaned to new congregations of the Lutheran Church for the purchase of their initial facilities or for land to be used for church plant. These loans are provided interest free for the first 4 years. No repayments are required during this period. After this initial time, the loan reverts to a normal LLL interest bearing loan.
LLL Scholarship Fund
Income generated by this Fund is donated by the LLL to the LCA Scholarship Committee, so that they can continue to support LCA church workers in professional development and continuing education.
LLL Youth Ministry Fund
Income from this Fund is donated by the LLL to the LCA Youth Department. This enables this department to continue its mission of encouraging young people to remain faithful to God and to reach out to others with the good news of Jesus.
Koch/Dolling Mission Lay Helper Fund
The LLL donates income generated by this Fund to the LCA Department of Lay Ministry. The Department of Lay Ministry allocates this money to assist congregations of the LCA in employing lay workers to share the Gospel message throughout the community.
LLL Mission Personnel Fund
The LCA Home Mission Department receives the interest generated by this Fund, and uses it to support the provision of personnel required to establish new congregations.
LLL Tract Mission Fund
The Lutheran Tract Mission makes tracts available for distribution throughout the community in Australia. Income earned by this Fund is donated to the Tract Mission to assist in this area of outreach.
Australian Lutheran World Service Support Fund
The income generated through this Fund is donated to Australian Lutheran World Service to support its ministry of helping people in need in overseas countries. Further information is available on their website.
Lutheran Media Ministry Support Fund
The income generated through this Fund is donated to Lutheran Media Ministry to support its ministry through radio, television, print media, video and internet. Further information is available on their website.
Special Purposes Fund
This Fund receives capital donations/legacies from LCA supporters. Income generated on these donations/legacies will be donated annually to the specific ministry/ies as instructed by the donor/legator. These ministry/ies may be at LCA National level (eg Missions, Training etc), LCA District level (eg Community Care) or LCA local level (eg local congregation, school, aged care facility).
LLL Overseas Mission Fund
Income generated from this fund assists the overseas mission work of the LCA Board for Missions. Currently, this includes support for programmes of the Lutheran Indonesian Churches to strengthen their capacity to live out the gospel through effective programs of service to their communities.
LLL Ministry Support Fund
The LLL donates income from this fund to the ministry work of the Lutheran Church of Australia. These funds are used at the discretion of the LCA for programmes with the greatest needs.
