Non-interest-bearing – facts and thanks

As we say on the LLL website, ‘LLL account holders can provide additional support to a particular project or department of the Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA) by nominating their account to be non-interest-bearing’.

When an LLL account holder deposits funds in this account type, they do not receive any interest, but the LLL provides a grant based on the value of interest forgone with an equivalent amount from the LLL. This grant is then paid annually to a nominated project or entity of the LCA. The current grant rate is listed on the LLL website.

Thanks

On behalf of all grant recipients, we thank those of you who are providing this extra benefit to many
areas of the church through the non-interest-bearing account facility.

Thank you from Australian Lutheran World Service

What a joy it is to see the impact on people’s lives of generous LLL account holders! Simply by holding a Non-interest-bearing Account with the LLL, you are supporting life-changing action like supporting women in remote Nepal communities to build their own businesses; making sure children in the poorest Cambodian families can go to school; and training farmers in South Sudan in ‘new’ techniques like composting, manure fertiliser and mulching! When the LLL talks about ‘finance with a mission’, this is what it means in real life. People facing poverty, conflict and displacement receive practical help that protects lives and restores hope. They experience Lutheran love come to life. Thank you!

Thank you from the NSW District

The NSW District is another beneficiary of non-interest-bearing grants. District Administrator Russell Veerhuis says: “For many years the NSW District has continued to be supported by the generous people of the NSW District and beyond. In total, several hundred thousand dollars’ worth of grants have been received, which has been used to support a wide variety of mission and ministry outcomes all across the NSW District.

The NSW District continues to be blessed by the generous support of those who forgo their interest in order to grant the money foregone to the broader church, to them we very humbly say ’thank you’.

LLL Non-interest-bearing Accounts are a great way to support the ministry and mission of the LCA.
