LLL was thrilled to be the Premier Partner of the stage performance If Only I Could an intergenerational dance performance created and staged by a company of Brisbane's best independent professional dance artists and elderly participants.
LLL’s support enabled the amazing residents of Tabeel Aged Care, Lutheran Services, to take to the Cremorne Theatre, Queensland Performing Arts Centre; in a performance that was filled with grace and courage, a great sense of adventure, and a greater sense of humour. The performance was whimsical, magical, heartfelt, and emotional.
Trained dancers partnered with residents to choreograph and tell their personal stories through dance, overlayed with projected imagery and lighting.
Several LLL staff, along with LLL special guests, attended the opening performance. LLL’s Personal Assistant, Lyndal described the performance as a, ‘moving tribute to growing older gracefully. Through all the smiles on stage, it was easy to see the genuine joy all the performers experienced.’
LLL is blessed to be able to provide support to Lutheran entities, like Lutheran Services, through the missional generosity of our depositors; it was heartening to see all the participants shine on stage.
