In March, we were delighted to announce highly experienced legal and governance professionals Cathy Oster and Raewyn Williams had been appointed to our Board of Directors, further diversifying the Board's strong skill set.
Board Chair Steve Podlich said that Cathy and Raewyn bring strong track records in governance and a deep understanding of the regulatory environment.
"Cathy has vast experience in providing corporate and commercial legal services including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, contract reviews, financing and capital raising," Steve said.
"She has worked across the energy and resources, aged care, agriculture, banking and finance, food and beverage, insurance, education and manufacturing sectors.
"Raewyn's impressive career spans executive and non-executive director roles in superannuation, investments and financial products, law, property and aged care.
"She has also published and presented extensively on investment governance and implementation, responsible investing, not-for-profit investing and board innovation.
"We look forward to the invaluable contribution they will make as the Board moves forward with a growth agenda for LLL."
Cathy currently holds Senior Legal Counsel and Governance consulting roles with People First Bank and Duxton Capital (Australia). She was previously Joint Company Secretary at Adbri and General Counsel and Company Secretary at Beach Energy.
She serves on the Board of Burnside War Memorial Hospital, spent more than eight years as a Member of the Pembroke School Board, including as Deputy Board Chair, and was also on the Board of aged care provider Lutheran Homes Group.
Raewyn is Chair of Fresh Hope Communities, a mission-based organisation that provides retirement living, residential aged care and affordable housing across New South Wales, and is a Director of Glebe Administration, which manages the investments of the Sydney Anglicans Diocese, a Director of a charitable foundation run by law firm Clayton Utz and holds a number of investment committee roles.
She held management positions with investment advisory companies, was a tax lawyer with KPMG and Barclays Global Investors, and also co-owns generative AI and investment fee benchmarking fintech businesses.
