We were proud to continue our support of the vital work carried out by our Platinum Partners Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS) and Lutheran Youth of Queensland (LYQ) this year.
ALWS celebrates 75 years
ALWS began the year with a bold goal to celebrate their 75th anniversary by supporting 75,000 children in need with the essentials for a happy, healthy life - food, school and safety.
We supported this goal with the LLL $75k Matching Appeal with donations to ALWS matched dollar-for-dollar by LLL up to $75,000, with this target reached in June.
Walk My Way charity events were a key pillar for ALWS fundraising, with LLL team members delighted to take part in walks in Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne, as well as host a drink stand at the Adelaide event.
The Adelaide walk was also the last official event held at the Australian Lutheran College's historic North Adelaide campus, a significant site for the Lutheran Church since 1923, with the College moving to new premises in the city.

Powerful partnership
ALWS Executive Director Michael Stolz praised the impact of our Platinum Partnership, which provides the support of a five-year sponsorship agreement.
"The LLL Platinum Partnership with ALWS is so powerful," Michael said.
"It enables ALWS to do things we could not do on our own."

Our Platinum Partnership with ALWS is just one example of the positive impact your investment with LLL has in communities through our shared missional partnership.

LYQ's youth focus
Our missional partnership with LYQ continues to magnify our collective impact for the benefit of young people and emerging leaders as they continue on their spiritual journeys.
Both LLL and LYQ hold a deep-seated belief in the inherent worth and unique potential of every individual. LYQ's mission centres on nurturing and guiding young lives towards their full potential through rich experiential learning, intentional support and engagement with the Christian faith.
"LYQ is grateful for LLL's ongoing, generous support and partnership in the ministry and mission of LYQ," Executive Director Darren Pope said.
"We are blessed through the opportunity to join LLL across ACLE 7, to share our story, provide personal advocacy for our partnership, and highlight the positive impact of LLL for young people to grow in the Gospel.
"Each day, LLL's support makes a valuable and significant contribution toward the opportunity for young people to experience a grace community, share in the Gospel, and grow as leaders through attending experiences with LYQ."
