A new chapter of learning has begun at Geelong Lutheran College's Armstrong Creek, Victoria, campus with the official opening of a brand-new resource centre named 'Concordia'.
The impressive two-storey building was officially opened by Pastor Lester Priebbenow, Bishop of the Victoria and Tasmania District, at a ceremony attended by LLL Head of Client Relationships Samantha and Client Relationship Analyst Joe.
The state-of-the-art facility, built with the support of an LLL loan, is a significant investment in students' access to literature and information, bringing together dedicated Primary library spaces downstairs and Secondary library spaces upstairs, two classrooms and staff facilities in a central hub.

A nurturing space
"We are thrilled to have Concordia officially open, and ready to welcome students in for library lessons and research tasks," Acting Principal Dr Tsae Wong said.
"This new addition to the Armstrong Creek campus with dedicated primary and secondary spaces, will be a place where curiosity is nurtured, learning is celebrated, and where students are encouraged to grow as lifelong learners."
The $6.5 million project also features an elevated connection to the neighbouring Year 11 and 12 centre, Ngarrwa, helping create stronger links between learning spaces across the campus, while the staff hub will provide a collaborative working space.

"Concordia will be a fantastic facility to inspire a love of reading and stories in our students, providing a wonderful space for study and research," GLC Board Chair Mark Gerhardy said.
"We're indeed very blessed and grateful to have LLL as our financing partner for this exciting addition."
The opening also included the unveiling of the Lasting Chapter legacy wall (pictured blow) located at the entrance of Concordia. Built by a teacher and their Product Design students, the timber installation resembles a bookcase and features sponsored book spines purchased by College families.
