LLL proudly stepped out alongside Platinum Partners Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS) at key Walk My Way events in Brisbane and Adelaide to raise funds to protect refugee girls through the power of education.
Funds raised this year supported ALWS' PRECIOUS campaign, which helps protect refugee girls in Kenya and Somalia from child marriage by enabling them to stay in school.
As Major Sponsor of the Brisbane event, LLL matched donations made on the day dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000, with Chief Relationship Officer Scott Ross on hand to make the announcement.
Nearly 700 people walked 3km or 12.5km along the banks of the Brisbane River, starting and finishing at QUT Gardens Point campus, to raise more than $115,000.

Stepping Out Together
"What I love about Walk My Way is seeing our community come together around something that really matters," ALWS Executive Director Michael Stolz said.
"Our church members, school and care communities, all stepping out together to create opportunities for girls who might otherwise miss out on an education and the chance to choose their own future.
"The 'sea of blue' walking through the centre of Brisbane is a powerful witness to our faith in action.
"I'd also like to sincerely thank LLL Australia for their generous support of ALWS and events like Walk My Way Brisbane as our Platinum Partner.
"Their commitment to the mission of our Church is inspiring."
Double the Impact
Scott was joined by LLL Mission Engagement Manager Darren Pope and Communications Officer Jason in Brisbane.
"We were proud to support this very special occasion," Scott said.
"It was a privilege and an honour to be able to double the impact of donations made on the day and support ALWS to protect as many girls from child marriage as possible."
LLL CEO Karen Pienaar and Financial Crime Compliance Specialist Dinali and their families stepped out at the Walk My Way Adelaide event, held at Aberfoyle Park in September, which raised just over $40,000.
