LLL sponsorship supported local communities in Adelaide, South Australia, this year with the Golden Grove Community Fete and Tatachilla Lutheran College's Twilight Food Fair both resounding successes.
LLL provided a total sponsorship package of $5,500 in support of the two fun-filled and family-friendly events that helped build community spirit and raise vital funds for organisers.
Run by Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School and Golden Grove Lutheran Church, October's bustling Community Fete included over 100 displays, stalls and food trucks, as well as live music, a petting zoo and fun activities for kids.
The weather smiled on the important fundraising event held at the Wynn Vale campus shared by the School and the Church, which helped ensure the fete was a hive of activity from start to finish.
LLL representative Rhianan Strangways was interviewed onstage and spoke about the special connection that LLL shares with the Primary School and the Church.
"We're helping the school build the Foundation Centre through a loan and previously provided the church with a $25,000 grant to help build Café Connect, as well as another $2,500 for the signage that you can see on Richardson Drive," Rhianan said.
"And we provide that type of support thanks to the missional heart of our depositors nationally.
"It's wonderful to see the thriving Golden Grove community coming together."
LLL's own stall in the school's busy courtyard displayed offerings from the Lutheran Tract Mission and an area filled with large cardboard Edo building blocks that proved popular with the kids.
Tatachilla Lutheran College's much-loved Twilight Food Fair bounced back to life in March after a three-year break due to COVID.
The College's beautiful McLaren Vale campus, nestled amongst lush green fields and vineyards, was the perfect setting for a magical night of family fun.
The Fair is the College's biggest annual event, showcasing the best of the region's food and wine offerings, and featuring thrilling rides, live music, carnival performers, sideshow entertainment and a fireworks display.
This year's event attracted a bumper crowd of over 5,000 people with delighted organisers moving quickly to open a second paddock to increase parking capacity to accommodate the greater-than-expected numbers.
The LLL display was prominently positioned at the entry to the lively fairground, with the Edo blocks amusing the kids while parents perused LTM tracts.
