Good News Lutheran College's (GNLC) Mambourin, Victoria, campus has moved into its next major construction phase as the visionary school takes another important step forward for education in Melbourne's west.
GNLC Principal Fiona McAuliffe, Victorian Member for Werribee John Lister MP, and students took part in an official sod turning ceremony in late May this year, and Mambourin has been a hive of activity since.
"The next phase of development at Mambourin represents a significant step forward in delivering high-quality facilities to support our growing community," GNLC Executive Business Manager Mario Puopolo said.

"This stage includes a new single-storey general purpose primary classroom building, a multi-purpose indoor centre, two additional netball and basketball courts, expanded playgrounds and passive spaces supported by thoughtful soft landscaping.
"Together, these additions will enhance learning environments and create greater opportunities for students and families, reflecting our long-term commitment to the region."
Stage 2 works are expected to be completed in 2027.
Mambourin welcomed its first students for the start of the 2025 school year with the completion of the Hope Building, with the cornerstone facility officially opened in May the same year.

Bold vision, strong partnership
GNLC has offered a Christ-centred holistic education in a values-based environment at its popular Tarneit campus since 1997.
In response to overwhelming demand for places at the College, the visionary project to build a brand-new campus as part of a residential development in Mambourin, situated about 10km to the south, was undertaken with LLL's support.
"None of this would be possible without the partnership and support of LLL," said Rodney Majaya, the school's Head of Marketing & Community Partnerships.
"Their investment in Lutheran education is not only funding buildings, but it is helping us build a future for thousands of young people and their families in one of Australia's growth corridors.
"We are deeply grateful for that partnership."
