Introducing the new LLL Charitable Donation Program.
Like you, we are genuinely passionate about building stronger communities and being good stewards of our resources for future generations.
The new LLL Charitable Donation Program (Program) has been developed with you and your community in mind. LLL aims to empower faith-based initiatives that foster connections between you and your community, help engage with both existing and new audiences, and enable you to raise funds for your meaningful Causes that enable growth.
The Program allows Beneficiaries, like you, to raise funds for specific projects or Causes that matter to you by encouraging your community to forgo the interest they would accrue by opening a new LLL Charitable Facility.
As a Beneficiary, you can nominate a particular project or Cause to raise funds for. We will refer to this as a 'Cause', and we encourage you to dream big and be bold in your thinking.
Examples of potential Causes could include:
- Developing a new multi-purpose recreation space for community gatherings
- Building a portable BBQ trailer for outreach activities
- Enhancing multimedia facilities for podcasting and digital engagement
- Supporting Parent and Friends group initiatives
- Paying down an existing LLL loan
Engaging your community with meaningful and relevant Causes will attract more potential supporters and lead to tangible outcomes, fostering further growth and attracting new audiences.

How it works
Complete the LLL Charitable Donation Program Beneficiary Nomination Form online, where you can identify a Cause for fundraising, agree to the Terms and Conditions, inform LLL of your income tax status, and specify the LLL Facility or Loan where you'd like to receive funds.

Once your nomination is established, you are encouraged to promote the Program within your community to those individuals and/or businesses who might be motivated to support your specific Cause. LLL will assist you by providing promotional Materials, including an LLL-hosted webpage, a printable A4 flyer, and a digital advertisement for emails via the Marketing Toolkit.
Community members interested in supporting your Cause can open an LLL Charitable Facility by completing an online application form and selecting your identified Cause as their Preference.
Interest Foregone from funds maintained in a Charitable Facility enables LLL to allocate funds to a variety of community organisations. The Allocation is based on the organisation's needs, missional objectives, and in consideration of supporters' Preferences.
LLL will provide quarterly reports containing insights into the number of supporters and total funding received. Supporters participating in the Program will also receive a report detailing the Interest Foregone.
You can update your community on the progress and milestones of your Cause, which will help build momentum and engagement. Satisfied community members will be encouraged to share these achievements with family and friends, further boosting momentum.
You recieve 3.10% on Supporter interest foregone from Charitable Facilities.
The commitment required of you to participate in the pilot
The pilot program will run until 31 May 2026. During this period, you will need to:
Complete the LLL Charitable Donation Program Beneficiary Nomination Form online.
Promote the Program within your community, reaching out to as many members as you like, including individuals and businesses.
Engage regularly with LLL, roughly every four weeks or less, to discuss successes and potential improvements through phone or online meetings.
Provide periodic feedback via email and surveys, as requested.
LLL's support to you during the pilot
To ensure the success of the pilot and the overall program, LLL will provide the following support:
Marketing resources to help promote your cause to your community via the Marketing Toolkit.
A dedicated Relationship Team member to help improve systems, processes, and the product.
What happens after the pilot period?
Once the pilot period concludes, LLL will collect feedback and data from all pilot participants to make informed decisions about any potential improvements and seek any further approvals required before the program is made more widely available. It is anticipated that your Program facility will remain active, the status quo will be maintained, supporters may choose to continue to maintain their Charitable Facilities, and LLL intends to continue providing pilot Beneficiaries with Allocations based on their needs, as informed by supporter Preferences.
If any adjustments are required after the conclusion of the pilot period, LLL will communicate these with you.

Charitable Donation Program (Program) |
The Charitable Donation Program creates a deeply meaningful connection between LLL, its customers and Christian organisations, powering difference-making projects and fostering community spirit throughout Australia. The Program empowers Supporters to make a meaningful impact by nominating a community organisation as their preferred Beneficiary of the Charitable Donation Program. As part of the Program, interest that notionally accrues against Charitable Facilities held by Supporters is retained by LLL, enabling it to make an Allocation of funds to a variety of community organisations that are Program Beneficiaries. The Allocation is guided by the organisation's needs and missional objectives, with consideration given to Preferences expressed by Supporters. The Charitable Donation Program plays a vital role in promoting positive change and supporting the mission of Christian communities, allowing them to flourish. |

What are the minimum requirements to be a Beneficiary of the Program?
To be eligible as a Beneficiary of the Program, organisations must:
- Be a tax-exempt organisation
- Be approved as an LLL Associate* customer
- Maintain an LLL Facility and/or Loan.
Can I nominate an external bank account to receive my organisation's Allocation?
No, an LLL Facility or Loan must be nominated to receive the Allocation; you can choose where the funds are received in a new or existing facility, either:
- LLL Instant Access and/or LLL Notice of Withdrawal
- LLL Loan
What fees or charges apply to the Program?
LLL Facilities do not attract fees or charges, nor does the Program. Enjoy peace of mind that funds held in your facility and that of your Supporters won't be diminished by fees and charges.
After the Allocation is received, will it accrue interest?
It depends on the Facility you nominate.
If the Allocation is received in an LLL Instant Access or Notice of Withdrawal Facility, it attracts interest the day after receipt. Funds received into an LLL Loan Facility will reduce the Beneficiary's loan balance.
Can I raise funds for multiple Causes?
Yes. You can raise funds for numerous Causes. To ensure transparency about which Cause Supporters are supporting, we recommend operating separate LLL Facilities for each Cause, allowing these Causes to run simultaneously.
Are there any limitations on what I can raise funds for?
There is no limit to the genuine Causes you can raise funds for. We encourage you to think boldly and bravely when considering a Cause that will benefit your community directly.
By participating in the Program your involvement does not reflect any other relationship with, or endorsement by, LLL Australia.
Will I be able to identify individual Supporters?
No, you will receive quarterly reports with anonymous data showing Supporter numbers and total funding received.
When will the Allocation be received in my Facility or Loan ?
LLL calculates the notional rate daily and distributes the Allocation quarterly on the last day of the quarter, ie 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December. The Allocation will be transferred to your nominated Facility or Loan shortly thereafter.
What happens to the Allocations once my Cause is complete?
You can update the Cause after completion to a new Cause or make it a general-purpose Cause. The choice is yours, though we recommend that you communicate this change to your community.
For Supporters, what are the features of an LLL Charitable Facility?
The Charitable Facility shares the same features as an LLL Notice of Withdrawal Facility, except that no interest accrues to a Supporter's facility, which is instead retained and applied at LLL's discretion each quarter to one or more of the Causes supported by LLL under the Program.
I'm interested in seeing the information provided to Supporters. Where can I find it?
